Privacy in brief: no forms or accounts, information by phone

This website has no forms, no accounts and no way to enter personal details. Most people reach us by phone, and the phone call is where most information changes hands.

What this website collects

The site itself collects nothing from you directly. It does not ask for your name, address or payment details, and it sets no cookies of its own.

As at the date above, it runs no advertising scripts and no analytics scripts. If that changes, this page will say so.

Our hosting provider keeps ordinary server logs, such as the address a request came from and the page asked for. Those logs are how any website works and are used to keep it running.

What happens when you call

Calls go to our dispatch line. A telephone system handles them, and systems like this commonly record the number you ring from, the time and the length of the call. Some can also record audio.

What you say on the call, such as your address and what is wrong, is used to route you and is passed to the plumber sent to you, so that they can reach you and find the house.

How we handle your email address and message

We receive your email address and whatever you write. We use them to reply and to keep a record of the conversation. Please do not send payment details or account numbers by email.

Embedded Google maps and what Google may receive

Some pages show an embedded Google map. When one of those pages loads, your browser contacts Google, which may receive your IP address and set its own cookies. How Google treats that information is set out in its privacy policy.

The map loads only on the pages that carry one. Pages without a map do not contact Google.

Your choices

Depending on where you live, you may be able to ask what information we hold about you, ask for it to be corrected, or ask for it to be deleted. Email us at [email protected] and say which.

The plumber sent to you is an independent business with its own records. A request about work they did may need to go to them as well.
